I wanted to be a mom for as long as I can remember, and I have been blessed to be a mom for more than 27 years. I desperately wanted to be the best mom in the world, but I didn’t know how. So, like every mom, I did the best that I could.BabiesLuckily, my best was good enough. These three people are all stellar human beings.Kids readingThis week, my youngest moved out.DSC_0039Our spice jars sent him on his way.

  1. My youngest of three sons soared 14 years ago. There are still times I wake up thinking “I forgot to kiss the boys goodnight”…only to realize they are gone. I am so proud of them, as I know you are proud of yours. Congratulations on a job well done.

  2. I can still well up in empathy at these times Jodie – I remember it so well despite the many years that have past. Bittersweet is a such an apt description isn’t it – for imagine had we done such a poor job they never had the ability or courage to leave. Congratulations on a job well done and while you weep over your empty nest, remember they do come back and a whole new lovely grown up relationship starts. Warm hugs xo
